It’s been rainy and cold here in San Antonio for the past few days. I have been loving it! It’s sweater weather again, and the pets and I get to stay home where we are warm and safe thanks to our Erick’s sacrifice of braving the weather and wind to go to work today. I continue to be thankful for the brave men and women who make my life possible. May God bless and keep them.
I have four projects remaining to finish for my ministry: three blankets and a sweater. And I am still chipping away at the goal of 100 hats that I set last winter. The last count I took I had one hat down. That has increased to four hats finished.
I have been muddling around the apartment all day. Other than that, I have been knitting, and praying, and leisurely playing with the dogs.
In the intermittent breaks in the weather, I took my daily walk, and visited neighbors and their dogs. One neighbor I gifted two containers of potato soup. The other neighbor I gifted two containers of frozen free beans.
Last night I made Erick and I steaks and potatoes. Most of the package of potatoes I made into soup. The leftover potato I attempted to make into a baked potato, but wasn’t successful. So our dogs got grizlings and potatoes mixed in with their kibble.
The rain has been good for our field and for our water supply. Thanks be to God! There have been wild birds stopping by the apartment to drink from Ned’s bowl.
Peace has been restored to our hearts and home.
